What do I do if there’s an emergency during unstaffed hours?
Clubs with unstaffed hours either have: Emergency Response Stations with audio/video communication to a live agent or emergency dispatch; Panic Buttons that will send a signal to police services.
Can I work out on holidays?
Our 24/7 Clubs remain open on ALL holidays – however, they will remain unstaffed.
What if I can’t figure out how a machine works?
Aside from a small instructional visual on the machine, you are welcome to ask one of our Hosts for their expertise.
What do I do if a machine is broken?
You can do two things. Inform our Host that the machine is down so we can get maintenance out right away to fix it. Secondly, if you require the machine for your workout, feel free to ask the Host for an alternate workout that works the same muscle.
Can I record my workouts or take pictures?
In the era of sharing, this may cross your mind. If you choose to use your camera, we ask that you not capture other members in pictures due to privacy issues.
Do your clubs have Wi-Fi?
We don’t currently offer Wi-Fi at our Clubs.
Can you change the channel on the TVs?
The TV channels are preset and can’t be changed by Hosts. We try our best to select channels that appeal to a wide variety of audiences.
Can I get a towel if I decide to shower?
We leave it up to members and guests to provide their own towels.
Do your clubs have water fountains?
This amenity varies depending on location. You can also purchase cooler drinks in-club to help keep you hydrated.
Can I use chalk in the weight area?
We ask you not to use chalk because of any possible allergies from other people in the club, and our commitment to keeping our clubs clean and allergen-free.
Where can I put my personal belongings during my workout?
Please feel free to use our lockers during your workout. You must provide your own lock and any items left over night will be removed.
Do I need indoor shoes?
Absolutely! Not only will indoor shoes help you with your workout, it’ll also help keep the club clean! You can store your outdoor shoes in a locker, or on the shoe rack.
What should I wear to work out? Do I need to bring anything?
We are a no judgement gym, so wear what makes you feel good! Comfortable, breathable clothing and indoor running shoes are a good place to start. We recommend that you always bring a lock for use of our free lockers, a water bottle to hydrate, and a towel for drying off.
What’s a Hydro Massage Bed?
Our Hydro Massage Beds are perfect for relaxation and post-workout recovery. The combination of hot and cold water is used to localize pressure on sore spots and loosen up your muscles. To check if your Club has this Black Card Amenity, please visit Fit4Less.ca/locations.
What’s the 30 Minute Express Circuit?
This is a circuit designed to give you the ultimate full body workout! There is a designated area for this circuit with all the machines labeled and detailed with what muscle is being worked, as well as how to use the machine. Visit Fit4Less.ca/workouts for more.
What do I need to use the tanning beds/booths?
In addition to your Black Card membership, any member who appears to be less than 25 years old will be required to show photo ID. All tanners must: be the age of majority in the province where the club is located, follow SMART Tanning Guidelines, wear tanning goggles every time they tan, and space their sessions at least 48 hours apart.
Does Fit4Less offer personal training and child minding?
Fit4Less does not offer these services. However, if these are requirements for you achieving your fitness goals, check out options available at GoodLife Fitness.
Does Fit4Less offer fitness classes?
Many of our clubs have Virtual Fitness Studios – These studios offer tons of fitness videos for all types of workouts and fitness levels led by a virtual instructor.

How can I update my info?
You can change any personal/financial information by speaking to a Host during staffed hours.
Can I get a tour before I commit to signing up?
Absolutely! Visit the Club you’re interested in during staffed hours and ask the Host if they could give you a tour.
Does Fit4Less offer short-term memberships?
We offer a No Commitment Black Card membership (for more visit fit4less.ca/membership). We also offer day passes for $10+applicable taxes.
Will my contract end at the end of my commitment period?
If you have a 1-Year Paid in Full membership, your membership will end at the conclusion of the commitment (contract) period. If you have a PAP membership, your membership will continue on a month-to-month basis unless we are notified of your cancellation. To cancel outside a commitment period, we will need 30 days’ notice to cancel.
I need to cancel my membership but can’t get to a club. What do I do?
If you can’t make it to a club to cancel, you’re welcome to send your home club an email to request a cancellation. To find your club’s contact info, please visit Fit4Less.ca/locations.
I just purchased a membership but need to cancel, what do I do?
If you need to cancel your membership immediately after purchasing it, review your contract in accordance to the Consumer Protection Act in your province.
Can I downgrade from a Black Card to a 4Less membership?
Downgrades are only possible if you have a Commitment Black Card Membership that is outside of the one-year commitment period.
How do I cancel my membership?
We require at least 30-days’ notice to cancel your membership. You can cancel your membership by visiting your club during staffed hours. If you are still in your commitment period, you’re required to pay out the year. If you purchased a 1-Year Paid in Full membership, your membership is non-refundable.
Can I put my membership on hold?
We currently don’t offer holds on memberships.
Where can I check the terms of my membership?
You can check the terms of your membership by looking at your Membership Agreement, which was emailed to you at the time of signing up or by asking a Host.
What’s the Rate Guarantee Fee?
The Rate Guarantee Fee is an opt-in option when signing up. By adding rate guarantee, you’re ensuring that your original membership rate never increases for as long as you maintain your membership. The Rate Guarantee Fee is charged on January 1st, April 1st, July 1st and October 1st.
Do you offer any promotions or discounts?
We don’t offer any promotions but our membership rates start as low as $4.99 every two weeks plus a $44 joining fee and tax.
Can I transfer my membership?
Our memberships are non-transferrable but with Black Card Friends, a friend or family member can use your membership if you’re not!
Can I transfer my 4Less membership to another club?
When choosing a 4Less membership, you are committing to the selected club as your home location. Transfers of your membership to other locations are not permitted. If you would like to use other Fit4Less locations, please upgrade to a Black Card membership.
What Black Card amenities does my club have?
The Black Card amenities vary from club-to-club. You can contact your club to inquire about what amenities are available. To find your club’s contact information, please visit Fit4Less.ca/locations.
When do the Black Card Amenities turn off?
Tanning Beds and showers are closed 30 minutes prior to unstaffed hours. To find your club’s staffed hours, please visit Fit4Less.ca/locations.
How can I share my Black Card Membership?
Simply give your membership card to your friend or family member. On their first visit they will be asked to sign a Health History form. Only ONE person per Black Card is allowed in the club at a time. Remember your Black Card Friend must be age of majority in the province of residence and may choose to purchase Black Card amenities on a per use basis.
When can I use the Black Card Amenities?
The Black Card Amenities are only available during staffed hours. To find your club’s staffed hours, you can visit Fit4Less.ca/locations.
What do I need to use the Black Card Amenities?
A Black Card Member must show their membership before using any of the amenities. When tanning, photo ID is required in addition to the Black Card membership.
Can I Bring a Guest?
If you would like to bring a guest with you, there is a guest fee of $10 + applicable taxes per visit.
What’s a “Black Card Friend”?
Black card members can share their card with friends and family who are the age of majority or older as stated in their province. The Black Card Friend has access to the home Fit4Less club of the Black Card member and other amenities available to 4Less members. Black Card Friends must register on their first visit during staffed hours and may not access the club at the same time as the Black Card member.
Does the Black Card Membership give me access to EconoFitness?
The Black Card Membership gives members access to all Fit4Less Clubs across Canada. At this time, your Fit4Less membership will not work at EconoFitness in Quebec.
What’s different for a Happy Minor?
Minors will have access to the club during staffed hours only. Check-ins must be at least 30 minutes prior to staffed hours ending. Access to massage chairs and hydro beds may be purchased for $5+tax.
How old do I have to be to join Fit4Less?
A new member needs to be 16 years of age or older to join or use a Fit4Less club. Anyone who is between 16 and the age of majority in the province where their club of choice is located (defined in future reference as 16-18/19), may only use Fit4Less clubs as a 4Less member. Additionally, anyone who is 16-18/19 years old can use the club during staffed hours only (see my club hours). People who are 16-18/19 that wish to join Fit4Less, must bring their parent/legal guardian into the club with them to register. At this time, memberships cannot be purchased online by someone who is age 16 to 18/19 years old. For more on the minimum age for joining a Fit4Less, please see your club for details.
How does the Administration Fee on the 4Less 1-Year Paid in Full membership work?
When purchasing the 4Less 1 Year Paid in Full membership, a $44 Administration Fee is applied. This fee is paid at the time of joining and, should you choose to renew your membership, at the time of renewal. To avoid paying this fee, please choose the 4Less 1 Year Commitment membership option or a Black Card membership.
Can I use my Fit4Less Membership at GoodLife clubs?
A Fit4Less membership provides access to Fit4Less clubs only. A GoodLife Fitness membership provides access to GoodLife clubs only.
Can I upgrade my membership?
Absolutely, there are so many great benefits to becoming a Black Card member! You can upgrade your Fit4Less membership at any Fit4Less club during staffed hours. Check out the Black Card benefits here.
What payment methods do you accept?
In-club purchases such as tanning lotion can be made through debit or credit card. When paying for a membership the options vary depending on the membership type selected. Commitment and No Commitment memberships are paid using pre-authorized payments taken directly from your bank account. The fee due at the time of joining can be paid using debit or credit card, Interac Online or using the bank account provided. 1-Year Paid in Full memberships are paid using debit card, credit card or Interac Online.
Can I pay for the year up-front with a commitment membership?
There is a way to do this! If you sign up for a PAP membership, you can put a credit of 1 year of membership fees on your account. This results in your payments being made without any withdrawals from your bank card. You will still need to enter banking information at the time of joining.
I doubled scanned my membership card and can’t get in!
There is a 30 Minute Pass Back Rule that blocks your card from being scanned more than once within 30 minutes.
How do I check into the club?
To check in, you’ll be required to scan your membership card and enter through the doors immediately.
What’s a FastPass?
The FastPass is a bracelet that will grant you access to the Club instead of a membership card. They can be purchased at select clubs for $15+applicable tax. Ask your club for more details!
Do I need to bring my card every time? What if I forget my card?
If a Fit4Less member or Black Card Friend does not have the membership card with them they will not be granted access into the club. If your card has been lost/stolen, a new card can be purchased during staffed hours (see my club hours) for $10 +applicable taxes.

How do I get a Fit4Less t-shirt or bag?
As a Black Card member, you receive a t-shirt and bag as a gift for joining! If you’re not a Black Card member, you can purchase a t-shirt or bag for $10+applicable tax, each.
How do I get a membership?
Memberships can be purchased online at any time or at any Fit4Less location during staffed hours (see my club hours). If you plan to sign up for a membership in club, please bring your pre-authorized payment information with you. This can be easily located on your personal banking mobile app, online banking or simply bring a void cheque. What’s available at Fit4Less?
In addition to 50+ pieces of cardio equipment, a variety of strength training equipment and a large free weight area (5 lb to 75 lb dumbbells), Fit4Less also features virtual cycling, virtual classes and a 30 Minute Express Circuit. During staffed hours additional amenities are also available including tanning, massage chairs, hydro massage beds and cooler drinks.
I signed up online, how do I get my membership card?
You’ll receive an email as soon as you sign up that contains a confirmation number; that number along with a piece of photo ID is all you need to get started!
